Hello, I’m so glad you are here, I know it takes great courage and vulnerability to reach out and ask for help in anything in life and especially in regards to therapy.
If you know me well then you know that from the time that I took my first high school Psychology course, I have been on a mission to provide a safe space for my community to feel supported, get relief, and heal their relationships. I’ve always been a life long learner, and once I discovered that I could learn and help people at the same time I have not stopped and I don’t plan to! I’ve worked with client’s at my private practice for the last 5 years and it’s been wonderful to work in a capacity that is fufilling and rewarding for my clients, myself and my family. With that said, the process of therapy is learning about you and your history, your family, your relationships, your patterns and your experiences in order to give you the right tools for you to experience healing. Yes I’m an expert in my field, but you are the expert of you so it’s working together where the deep transformation happens.
My training and work history over the last 16 years has prepared me to work with individuals, couples, and families through some of the messiest parts of our human existence.
What do I specialize in?
Relational issues, personal growth, emotion regulation, thinking errors, social functioning, family conflict, grief, loss, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, marital issues, major life changes, women’s issues, pre-marital therapy, stress, personality disorders and mood disorders are the specific things that I have worked with countless times, and have evidence based tools to address in the therapy session.
Treatment
I believe that our relationships and environment are vitally important to our growth and development. I primarily work from a systems perspective, meaning that in order to understand the individual and their symptoms, it is important to pay attention to family dynamics and relationships, and various interactions in the individual’s broader social context. The systems perspective includes your personal family history as well as generational patterns. I hold a certification, and prefer using the Gottman Method when treating couples. Along with systems theory, I integrate many evidenced based methods while providing a safe and supportive space for you to process whatever you need to. This includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory and more. I also have a specific trauma tool that my current and past clients enjoy, and have felt relief in 1-2 sessions. If that interests you I would love to tell you more about it.
If you have any questions about my approach or specialties, I am an open book! There’s almost nothing I love more than talking about therapy. Everyone is so unique, so I work together with the client to create their treatment plan based on their specific symptoms, needs, and goals. I want to help you to find relief from your suffering, and ultimately help you live a life that feels full of meaning.
Below are my fees for service due at the time of the appointment in the form of cash, check, or card.
